"Knowledge By Remission"

"KNOWLEDGE BY REMISSION"

"To give knowledge of salvation unto His people by remission of their sins"-Lk 1:77.

Wanna know God's Ways? ...Repent!

Everything God has ever shown us of His (intended) Ways for man have been about salvation. That's why "Jesus-Christ" (as His Name Signifies) Means (and IS) Salvation-Personified.

But there's only one way to know Him - God's Way; "by the remission of our sins". That means "REPENT!". And of course, that means the Cross.

Repentance only occurs at the Cross of Christ. There our "flesh" is humiliated, and our soul is humbled. There too, God elevates, or "lifts up" the Humility of Christ and endues us with His Own Holy Spirit!

James says we "receive with meekness the engrafted Word which is able to save our souls"-Ja 1:21.

So we see that both the teachable character and that character we must "know for salvation" is the humble-meekness of Christ. He said, "COME UNTO ME"; "take my yoke"; learn of me; for I Am MEEK AND LOWLY IN HEART"-(Mt 11:28,29).

It is by "coming unto ("return unto the Lord"="repent") we "learn of" Him. So we see "knowledge (of God) comes by remission".

Nowhere does Jesus ever say "stop coming unto me." How is it, then, modern man concludes that repentance is a one-time-thing, and that there is somehow a difference between salvation and knowledge of Christ? - As though they were two separate steps?

First we repent and are saved; then we learn of Christ (after), and have no further need of repentance?!?

The scriptures refer repeatedly to continual repentance on the part of ALL the biblical men of God. Abraham, Moses, David, Peter & Paul ALL sinned after their conversions.

What?? Does modern man think we never fall after we stand?; or stumble even while walking?; or sin (repeatedly, continuously and habitually) during our learning process?

What then of Grace? Was that not the purpose of Christ's death?

No, knowledge means learning; and learning means struggle, trial & error; and that means the student relies and depends upon (needs) the strength, support, encouragement, Wisdom, help, and Love (GRACE) of the Master, or no knowledge could exchange.

This would seem all the more necessary when the subject is impossible (that is, SuperNatural). But it is in the "abounding" God gives the "increase" and we learn of Him.

Grace abounds unto us as we are grateful unto God. We must never forget that thanksgiving follows Graciousness, as Knowledge follows repentance. God has given all - whether we receive or not!

Then let us "come (open) unto Him" with contrite hearts - to be filled. "Knowledge by remission!"
