"The Head of Every Man"
"But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ." 1 Cor. 11:3
God reigns supreme in this world, but God is manifested in the flesh in the person of Jesus, who is supreme over all humanity and every man is morally bound to acknowledge and obey His authority. He is the "Head over all things to the church." Were the church to acknowledge His authority and become obedient to His command, what a different condition would exist. As Head of the church He has given orders to "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel," but, alas, His command has not been obeyed. Let us bow to His mandate and let everone of us seek to do our part.
Lord Jesus, we bow to Thy mandate today. Help us to tell the story of the cross to a lost world. Amen.
