"A STRENGTH TO THE POOR AND NEEDY"

Isai 25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones [is] as a storm [against] the wall.

"I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me; Thou art my help and my deliverer" says the Psalmist. "My God shall supply all your need" says Paul, and He will for His strength is made "perfect in weakness". His arms are stretched out for the distressed, and we can always find rest and strength in them. Listen to His words of comfort in Psalms 121:5,6: "The Lord is thy keeper; the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day nor the moon by night." He longs to be our "Strength" and to supply all our need through riches of glory by Christ Jesus.

We hear Thy call, blessed Lord, and come quickly and gladly to Thee for strength for this day. Amen.
