"AN ENSIGN OF THE PEOPLE"
Isai 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. {glorious: Heb. glory}
There is a glad day awaiting us when our Lord shall see of the travail of His soul and be satisfied, and "The Root Of Jesse" shall stand as "An Ensign Of The People." We cannot tell when that golden Age will come, but we can do as we are bidden and hasten it by magnifying His Name to a lost world, and thus helping to complete the Church which is His Body. Do we realize what this means to our Lord, and do we long for that day to come?
Dear Lord, Thou Glorious "Ensign Of The People", we plead for Thy grace and favor as we give ourselves to the task which Thou hast committed to us. Amen.
