"A BRANCH OUT OF HIS ROOTS"
Isai 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
He is not only a "Rod", but a "Branch". As you meditate upon this verse you are compelled to think first of the root, then of the shoot, (or "rod"), pushing its way up through the earth, and then of the branch, growing in strength; an illustration of the human life of our Lord Jesus growing up in the midst of Israel, developing from babe to boy, from boy to man, then taking up His ministry that He might fulfill the prophesies of the Book and bear the sins of the world. The fruitage of "The Branch" has been world-wide and will be age-abiding.
O, Thou Mighty One, how we thank Thee that Thou didst bear our sins upon the Tree, making it possible for us to become a part of "The Branch". Amen.
