Matt 7:13 (KJV) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: {strait: or, narrow} 14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. {Because: or, How}

GOD'S BIBLE NAMES 2/27

"THE EVERLASTING FATHER"

Isai 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

He is "The Mighty God". He is also "The Everlasting Father". He created man. He Himself became a man. He is now a Glorified Man. He holds the sceptre. He looks down upon us day by day. Yet He lives in us. He has the heart of a Father. His protecting love is over us. There are many changes in us; many changes in our condition and circumstances; but no change in Him! He is "the same, yesterday, and today, and forever", the "Everlasting Father". Let us honor Him as good children should and give Him the highest place.

Oh, Thou Everlasting Father, we are so glad we can come close to Thee as Thy dear children. Give us our daily bread. Guide us and guard us till Thou dost come. Amen.
