"THE MIGHTY GOD"
Isai 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Who is this "Might God"? The very Son of God Himself! He is mighty, yea, He is Almighty! The service which He must render could not be wrought without Almighty power and authority. David says of Him, "Thy throne is for ever and ever". Jeremiah says of Him, "Jehovah our Righteousness". He is mighty to save, strong to deliver, always the same, and always accessible to the humblest believer. Lets us remember this when we come to Him in praise, or prayer or worship.
Oh, Thou Mighty God, we come to Thee to acknowledge Thy authority and to crave Thy blessing. Amen.
