Song 5:10 My beloved [is] white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand. {the chiefest: Heb. a standard bearer}
Here is a challenge from the Word of God. Has the world ever produced His equal? Have any ever equalled Him in wisdom, or in deeds of kindness, or in love for the lost? No, never! He is indeed "The Chiefest Among Ten Thousand", yea, the chiefest in all the world and in all ages. The appeal to the hearts of all men is "Come, see a Man Who has told me all things that ever I did; Is this not this the Christ?" The heaven from which He came, His heart, His Life, His Cross, His Resurrection, --- all testify to the Truth that He Is "God manifest in the flesh!"
We bow to Thee, Thou "Chiefest Among Ten Thousand", this day and call upon our souls and all that is within us to magnify Thy name. Amen.
