Hebr 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims> ["exiles"-RSV] on the earth. {in faith: Gr. according to faith} 1Pet 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers ["aliens"-RSV] and pilgrims ["exiles"-RSV], abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
Great is our Lord and of great power; "His understanding is infinite", says the Psalmist. His works and His ways are not always understood by our feeble intelects, but "What I do thou knowest not now, but thou shalt know hereafter" is His promise. He is working out His great program for a lost world. Trust Him. Live in fellowship -WITH- Him. In His Own good time He will come and have us with Himself, and then "shall we know even as we are Known."
Lord Jesus, keep us like little children in our attitude toward Thee, as we depend upon Thy "Understanding". Amen.
