"SHOWERS UPON THE EARTH"
Psal 72:6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers [that] water the earth.
This is a Messianic prediction concerning our Lord. How refreshing is the suggestion, -- "Rain upon the mown grass", "Showers that water the earth!" How He loves to pour out the showers of blessing upon us! If we are ready, He is ready! Does He not say in Isa 55:10,11 that His Word shall be as the rain that cometh down from heaven that watereth the earth, making it bring forth and bud that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater? Showers of blessing are waiting for us if we are out in the open where they can fall on us.
Lord, thou who art the Water of Life, guide us by Thy Holy Spirit to look for the showers of blessing that our parched and thirsty souls may be refreshed. Amen.
