"MY LAMP"
2Sam 22:29 For thou [art] my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness. {lamp: or, candle}
A lamp is for light, and light is what we must have, --- sunlight by day, but lamplight by night. Christ is both. How dark it was before God Said, "Let there be light!", and then flashed the Light from Heaven to bring joy, comfort and warmth. What a transformation in human life when Christ comes to illuminate it! That Light will never go out. Day and night, it is our privilege to live "in the Light."
Jesus, our Royal Heavenly Light-Giver, how we rejoice that Thou art the never failing Lamp to Lighten a darkened world. Shine in us and through us to bring Light to the lost. Amen.
