"Go" Means "Follow"!

"GO" MEANS "FOLLOW!"

Since when did "go" stop meaning "with God", or "follow"? Are we no longer the "sheep of His pasture"? A million sheep scattered abroad without the Shepherd are not a "flock"; just as (I suppose) one lamb at the feet of the Master is His "flock"!

Jesus said, "Apart from me you can do nothing!" Our Lord never sent us AWAY! On the contrary, He said He'd never leave us! "Go" no more means "sent away from" than "commission" means anything more than "called"!

Jesus said, "Many are called, but few are chosen"(Mt 20:16). He might have said many are "saved", but few "endure to the end" (and enter the Promised Land). Or, many "know" the Saviour, but few follow Him as Lord!

Jesus said there were "few" "labourers" (Mt 9:37); "that find it" (the "narrow" Way to Life)(Mt 7:14); "chosen" from those "called" (Mt 20:16). "Few"; "few"; "few"!

Peter reminds us that "few" meant only 8 souls in Noah's days. And Jesus tells us the "last days" will be as in the days of Noa. Why don't we listen? No wonder we get some of His words twisted and distorted out of context.

The Context of Christ is always the Cross.

And we have no other "feed" with which to "feed My lambs" than this Gospel of Christ Crucified, Resurrected, and Alive right now. Go? Go where? The only where there is to "go" to is where He is! But He says He's gone on before us to prepare a place for us (there), that where He is we might be also - if we will FOLLOW Hi.

It is man's best effort to run ahead or lag behind the Lord! We all do it so well. So often. What we don't do well is wait, watch, pray; hush, listen obey! All these things require we spend time with the Lord!

Ask yourself just now. Aside from reading, talking, doing, thinking, etc.; how long has it been since you just sat down, got quiet and consciously "hung-out" with God? Not with anything "on your mind", but just because you love Him and want to be "around" Him?

Jesus says, "come". He never says "go". A life truly "set aside" for God, is lived in "follow-fellowship"; as closely "walked" and intimately "talked" as "friends" with Christ.

No, don't "go", but "Come" - unto Him. And, as "born", so "walk" & "talk" in the Spirit, and "follow"!
