Faith Is FACT!

FAITH IS FACT!

The English word "faith" (as we use it today) is a lie! It has absolutely nothing to do with the biblical meaning it pretends to represent! For instance, take this illustration: "everyone knows we only need "faith" when there are no "facts"!". "Faith-in-the-absence-of-fact" is a fairly good definition of what most people understand "faith" to be! But the Faith of Scripture is always based on fact! Indeed, it was "Fathered" (as Jesus put it!) by an encounter with the Living-Fact-of-God!

It was Abram's "yea-but..." which God responded to with an actual act-of-assurance: DeFacto! God had just finished Promising a son to Abram (one from the seed of his own loins!) and Abram responds with his "yea-but" .... Gen 15:8 "And he said, Lord GOD, whereby (how) shall I know that I shall inherit it?" Now God "knows" we will not trust (put faith in, believe) a stranger! He made us that way! Even Jesus said in Jn 10:5 "And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers." So this thing of "knowing the Voice" of God is fundamental to "sheep-nature" (as we see in Gen 3:8 "And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day:.....").

But Abram "heard" God!: what more was he asking for? He wanted a certainty, a guarantee from God! He wanted God to demonstrate His Word in-FACT! Pretty "gutsy", Huh? So what does God Do? Gen 15:12,(13) "And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety ....." What did God DO to Abram in that "deep sleep"? Well, whatever it was ("an horror of great darkness!"), it was such a FACT that Abraham would never be the same again!

Much like a man named Saul who, after having been "mugged" by Jesus (Personally!) on a highway (now there's a FACT that'll "shake up your mouth"!), this "Paul" was so altered, he singlehandedly changed our entire concept of God! Talk about FAITH! These men had to have a faith built on FACT to endure & prove all God had in Mind for them!

Indeed, if "fact" is circumstantial, sensual evidence (and Einstein proved how "relative" physics is!) - then the Reality of God is every bit what the author of Hebrews said it IS in He 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Now those two words "substance" and "evidence" mean factual Proof ("title deed") of a Kingdom "not of this (sensual) world"! Merely because Faith is the Fact of God's Reality in this evil domain and therefore appears "un-real" to corrupted perceptions, does not mean it cannot prove the Validity and Reality (Power-in-Truth!) of God's Word! This is precisely what the New Christian Nature-In-Christ is all about!

If Faith is not about proving God, as He Proves us, then it is no FACT! But if it is .... , then all who doubt must surely prove the error of that way as God Who Is "I Am" Expresses Himself throughout His Creation, forever! No, God's a Fact, and He can Prove it! Only a foolish coward would not ask for Proof to Trust and Know a God Who Asks for Love and EverLives to Give it! Here is Christ, Who Proves by Doing His Promised Fact of Love & Life Eternal - FOR man! ..LIVING FAITH ->IS<- FACT!..
