Numb 33:55 (KJS) But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them [shall be] pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. --- (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) {through God: or, to God} Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; {imaginations: or, reasonings} --- Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
