Confirmed Where Dragons Live!

CONFIRMED WHERE DRAGONS LIVE!

Isaiah 35:3-7 "Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of DRAGONS, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes."

"Webster says "confirm" means, "[ratify (put into effect); verify (validate the truth); admit as member; strengthen a conviction or habit; to make valid or operative by approval; to attest to (certify) truth, genuineness, accuracy, validity; authenticate; bear out; corroborate; justify; substantiate; validate; verify; ratify]". Whew! Pretty important, huh? Official & everything! Our English word actually comes from two Latin words, "con"="with" & "firm" = "strength/power". Simple!

Hebrews 12:11-13 "Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed." The writer to the Hebrews quotes from Isaiah to illustrate "chastening" as the means by which we are "strengthened & confirmed". (Indeed, he says without it we are "bastards"!). I Cor 1:5-8 "That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." Was confirmed; shall confirm; past tense & future tense!

But Who's doing the action? The same one Who "chastens", God! There seems to be a connection between discipline and healing "that which is lame" (or, cannot "walk" un-assisted!). Anyway, again we see the passive role of the one being "healed", "strengthened" and "confirmed"! God will validate and ratify His Truth IN us! Jesus said in John 14:21-"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." And John tells us in I John 1:1-3 "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ."

I'm fond of saying that every "follower" of the Good Shepherd has a "right" to CONFIRMATION of the Spirit and the Word to "walk" by! Christ died to ratify that "right" as Promised from the beginning! Malachi 3:10-11 "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts." My, how often we've heard this preached for the sake of money! But our "tithe" to God is not in money, possessions or any carnal-wealth, but love and fidelity as proved by our devoted-dependence upon Him in witness (testimony), choice and proof (confirmation).

Jesus said, "hath, keep & love", and in Revelation we're told we will be "saved" by the "Blood" (His!), "testimony" (ours-In-Christ), and "loving not" (let go of) "their lives even unto death" (proof!). God asks us to "prove" Him, and then He'll take care of the "dragons" in our "land"! What will "prove" Him? His follow-thru on His Promises! But we must "have" them, "keep" them (in His Ways), and "love" Him - to "prove" Him BY His SPIRITUAL blessings! Jesus told us not to worry & fret about money and worldly needs. He said our Heavenly Father knew all about those needs, & would take care of us! He said we should seek the spiritual blessings of the Kingdom of His Righteousness, and leave all this "other" to God!

So we "confirm" God in His blessings of us as Promised and fulfilled in Jesus Christ by "proving" Him ("put on Christ"); and God "proves" and "confirms" His Word in us by "sealing" us with His Name, "Mark", and Presence (Holy Spirit); and "shall " confirm us unto "the end" (Gr=Teleos=Perfection). And all this will be, as David described it, "a table in the presence of mine enemies" -or- "in the habitation of dragons"! His Gift? We shall be "healed", "strengthened", "saved", "refreshed", "refined", "proved", "ratified", "verified" - HIS! - and all in-the-midst of "dragons"! Why? For His NAME'S sake (because He Promised!).

As "wilderness", we shall become "streams in the dessert"! As "parched", we shall become His "pool"! And as "pool" we will reflect (confirm) His Mercy, Kindness, Justice, Recompense and Love-IN-the Beloved! Dragons and Giants notwithstanding, His Love is Absolute, for He has Spoken it! Let every Giant beware; every Dragon behold How God PROVES and CONFIRMS every Word in every creature! His Word? Jesus Christ! Our "banquet" (feast) amongst the "dragons" (beasts)! "Confirmed" and Sure, our "feast" is "manifested" unto us as "proof" of His LOVE AMONG THE DRAGONS! ...The "proof" IS in the "eating"!
