Out Of WHO'S "Belly"?

OUT OF *WHO'S* "BELLY" ?

Now here's a curious thing! I'm going to reprint the scripture exactly as it is in the King James (the R.V. is little different), and you tell me who the subject of the sentence is (believer, or Messiah):

John 7:37,38 "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, (")out of his (Messiah's) belly ("heart"-R.V.) shall flow rivers of living water(")."

Sounds like Jesus is saying the scriptures say the believer will have "living water" flowing out of his (the believer's) belly, huh? And how many sermons have you heard that explain it just that way? I've heard dozens, myself; but I've never heard any to the contrary!

But let me show why this "interpretation" is not only fallacious, but is dangerously perverted and causes many to "touch the Glory" & die spiritually (without even knowing it).

Jesus Christ is the only Source of Living Water! And, while there can be no doubt He Indwells and Manifest Himself by His Holy Spirit through His believers, no true believer better ever confuse his believing with Christ Himself!

He IS the Living Water, just as He is the Bread of Heaven, the Wine of Abundant Joy and the Meat of the Scriptures (even Bones of the Law). Jesus is paraphrasing (an extracted quote) scripture from a number of places (but from no one place in particular)!

Song 4:15 "A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon." Isa 12:2,3 "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation."

Isa 55:1 "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price." Isa 58:11 "And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not."

Jer 2:13 "For my people have committed two evils; (1) they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and (2) hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water." Jer 17:13 "O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters."

Ezk 47:1 "Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar."

Joel 3:18 "And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house (Who Is Jesus Christ) of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim." Zech 13:1 "In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness."

Jn 19:34 "But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water." Zech 14:8 "And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be."

Jn 4:10,14 "Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up (by my giving it) into everlasting life."

Jn 16:7 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you." Rev 21:6 "And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely."

Rev 22:1 "And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and (out) of the Lamb."

No scripture mentions a believer's "Living Water"! We must never confuse our gifts (or "works") with the Holy Spirit Himself!

To do so is to wrongly "divide" the Living Word of God Which the Holy Spirit wrote. But worse, it means the death of His effects-in-us by the superimposing of "self".

It was by just such confusion (regarding touching the Glory Which Is God) that Herod was eaten by worms! How many "worm-eaten", wrongly-divided, perverted & poisonous sermons have been preached to desperately hungry (but stubbornly reluctant) "sheep" who would rather "hear" it from "creatures" (men) than suffer (allow) it from God?!

Thank God we can Ask Him Whom we Seek, and keep Knocking! AND, ..... thank God HE ANSWERS!

2Tim 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." [But I am convinced that only a man who has BEEN "Rightly-Divided" {Circumcised unto Sanctified-Holiness} BY The Living-Word is able to Discern the Spirit in the Letter of The Living Word! 1Cor 2:14,15]
